Connections Matter Kansas is a project of the Kansas Power of the Positive (K-PoP), a coalition seeking to ensure that all Kansas children live in safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments. Coalition work is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Essential for Childhood Program to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Bureau of Health Promotion with backbone support from Wichita State University Community Engagement Institute.
Connections Matter Kansas is also a project of the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund, a K-PoP member agency, funded through a Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) grant. These grants are designed to support a broad range of community partners with the overall impact being a stronger statewide child abuse prevention system.
The Connections Matter project is administered by Prevent Child Abuse Kansas at the Kansas Children’s Service League. Questions about the initiative in Kansas can be directed via email to Keith Tatum at ktatum@kcsl.org or Vicky Roper at vroper@kcsl.org.
